4,170 HDB flats launched in first BTO exercise of 2016

SINGAPORE: A total of 4,170 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in Bukit Batok, Sengkang and Bidadari were launched on Wednesday (Feb 24), the Housing and Development Board (HDB) announced in a press release.

A wide range of flats, comprising two-room Flexi to Three-Generation (3Gen) flats was launched during this exercise, said HDB. 

A total of 1,594 flats have been launched in Alkaff Oasis, situated in the mature estate of Bidadari in Toa Payoh, at the junction of Bidadari Park Drive and Alkaff Crescent. A total of 218 two-room Flexi, 340 three-room, 800 four-room, 165 five-room and 71 3Gen flats are available here.

For non-mature towns, 1,655 flats have been launched for sale in West Plains @ Bukit Batok – comprising 674 two-room Flexi, 187 three-room, 410 four-room and 384 five-room flats. Another 921 flats have been launched at Anchorvale Plains in Sengkang, comprising 448 two-room Flexi, 96 three-room, 260 four-room and 117 five-room flats.

The flats are priced from S$85,000 (excluding grants) for a two-room Flexi in Bukit Batok to S$553,000 (excluding grants) for a 3Gen flat in Bidadari,.

Interested applicants for the current exercise may submit an application online at HDB’s InfoWEB from Feb 24 to Mar 1. They can also apply at any HDB Hub or any of HDB’s branches, it said.

The flats launched on Wednesday make up the first tranche of 18,000 HDB units to be launched this year. In May, HDB will offer about 4,070 BTO flats in Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Merah, Bukit Panjang and Sembawang, while 5,000 balance flats will be offered in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise.
